The Mission of the Gig Harbor Film Festival is to feature independent films that draw on the unifying power of film to promote understanding, tolerance and global awareness.

Gig Harbor Film Festival is located within a beautiful community of Gig Harbor, WA... 40 miles southwest of Seattle. We are celebrating our third year and have made great strides to ensure your visit will be well received and enjoyed. We will arrange transportation from Sea-Tac Airport to Gig Harbor, WA. The accepted submitted films for the upcoming Gig Harbor Film Festival will have their film shown in an award winning, hi-tech, ten screen Galaxy Theatre, in Uptown Gig Harbor shopping center. We will have many fun happenings for the filmmakers, directors and all involved to make this visit a memorable event.
GENERAL RULES FOR FILMMAKERS

Gig Harbor Film Festival accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of entries during shipment to or from Gig Harbor Film Festival.
To submit your film for consideration for the Gig Harbor Film Festival, please click the logo below to complete the Withoutabox online form.

1. Entries must be postmarked by August 2, 2010.
2. Entrants must submit 1 copy, DVD or Blu Ray, as your Preview Copy for consideration.
3. Entry forms and payment will not be processed without an accompanying Preview Copy in one of the accepted formats.
4. All entries must be in English or SUBTITLED unless special arrangements have been made with festival.
5. Please attach/write WAB Tracking ID to/on submission materials.
6. Exceptions to the festival regulations must be authorized by the Festival Executive Director.
7. Please pay attention to the category you submit your film under.
''Short'' films must be 46 minutes or less. If a film is submitted to an incorrect category, the balance to the appropriate guideline must be paid.
8. Entries in the Student Film category MUST be accompanied with a copy of a valid student I.D. If you completed the film while you were a student, but are no longer in school, you are still eligible for the student rate (assuming you can provide a copy of your student I.D.).
9. It is not the policy of GHFF to grant any discounts or waivers. We are sympathetic to the financial demands of filmmaking and the festival circuit, but GHFF is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization
SHIPPING
The cost of shipping an entry to the festival must be paid by the entrant. Collect or C.O.D. shipment will not be accepted. All international entries must be sent ''free domicile'' to the Festival office with all transportation charges, duties, and taxes prepaid by the shipper. Any brokerage fees charged to Gig Harbor Film Festival will be billed back to the shipper. Be sure to include all the proper customs documentation required by the shipping company.

Are there any fees at all?
Filmmakers just pay the regular, published entry fees of the festivals they select (unless they are No Entry Fee festivals). These fees are set by the festivals, not by Withoutabox. Discounts are available for filmmakers planning on submitting to many festivals.
Which festivals use Withoutabox?
Withoutabox maintains listings of more than 3000 worldwide film festivals. More than 800 of these Festivals use Withoutabox to receive and manage submissions electronically making it fast and easy to apply to many festivals. Festivals range from the some of the biggest names in the industry, to major regional festivals, to respected diversity and niche festivals as well as vital, local events. Filmmakers can browse a list of festivals that are currently requesting submissions.
How does the submission process work?
Filmmakers find festivals that interest them in a number of great ways, including: Withoutaboxs festival browser and search engine, weekly deadline updates, a vibrant message board community. All festival listings are presented in a standard, easy to digest format. Filmmakers just click to apply, pay any festival entry fees online, and receive a confirmation page and tracking number, which includes simple instructions on where to mail their DVD screener. (The system even runs an automated qualify check on each submission, to help make sure the film is a proper fit with chosen the category of entry, and alerts filmmakers to potential errors.) Filmmakers are able to track the status of their submissions throughout the festival judging process.

- DVDs are required in order to be considered.
- Gig Harbor Film Festival does not accept or assume responsibility in the event of loss or damaged en route or otherwise. Submissions DVD's or Blu-Ray DVD's returned only if provided SASE.
- All other selected for festival screening, to include DigiBeta, Beta SP and 35mm will be returned, postage paid.
